Well, it's the end of a horrible weekend... I had the flu to end all flus if you know what I mean. Now it's starting to get better.
Must've got it off Arthur who sits beside me at work... he had one helluva hacking cough, the day before I caught it.
A friend of my great grandpa's introduced me to a herbal doc friend of his. As usual like I've heard before, he boasted about him with some anecdotes and miraculous healing stories... I was like, hmm, been there, done that. Apparently this fellow has a knack for healing 'strange' skin conditions. So my mother, who's in HK at the mo, pushed me ahead to try it. What the hell, I was indisposed with the flu anyway.
He came over every evening and we did three doses: he apply the herbal mix on my hands and feet and wrap with cling film, keep it on for at least 8 hours. Needless to say it made life inconvenient for the time being.
So after the doses, the results look pretty good, for the moment.

Ringing in another new Lunar year

This time I was able to get my hands on a media pass for this year's parade, thanks to Billy.
So wish everyone a prosperous Golden Pig year... should be my luck since I'm a piggy too?

Film-making updates

Well, after the I Shot Hong Kong fiasco, we've also been shortlisted in the more established IFVA and ours will be screened on St. Patrick's Day!
We've also registered for the International Documentary Challenge where participants are given a topic/genre just before the starting date: March 1st. And we must complete the 4 min doco within 5 days. Pretty exciting stuff.

Censorship rears its Commie head

After another tough transcribing session of Newsline, an apparent spat between the Communist overlords and officials at ATV (Asia Television) took place the following weekend. Apparently the latest episode of the venerable talk show regarding the chief executive election got replaced by another episode, because someone in the higher ups didn't like the fact that Allen Lee - member of National People's Congress and well-known political commentator - was on the show. The other was head of the Democratic Party's Albert Ho.
It even promopted a brief article in today's South China Morning Post, where our spokesperson gave a duly response of a 'techincal error'.
But now... it's going to be shown next week! Fucking idiots, all that resulted is now bad publicity.
